Worldwide organization of health protection is offer an instrument for the estimation of individual absolute risk of fractures for men and women, worked out on the basis of the use of clinical risk and data of mineral bone density in neck of hip. New approaches in the estimation of risk of fractures will allow more exactly to determine the state of bone fabric and extend the possibilities of application of antiosteoporotic drugs.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обсуждаются новые подходы к выявлению индивидуумов с высоким риском переломов, развивающимся на фоне остеопороза. ВОЗ предложен инструмент для оценки индивидуального абсолютного риска переломов у мужчин и женщин, разработанный на основании использования клинических факторов риска и наличия или отсутствия данных о минеральной плотности кости в области шейки бедра. Минеральная плотность кости - единственный показатель, который легко измерить в клинической практике, поэтому он до сих пор остается "краеугольным камнем" в диагностике остеопороза. Однако минеральная плотность кости не отражает качественные характеристики костной ткани, которые вносят значительный вклад в риск развития переломов.
