It describes the types and methods of investigation of social support and its relation to depression and somatic complications, as well as adaptation and satisfaction with person’s life. The review revealed «white spots» of rehabilitation and employment in studying relations between different types of social support and motivation in patients with spinal cord injury consequences and the unresolved issue of correlation between social skills and types of social support. The study of specific social skills that support social integration of patients with spinal cord injury and improve their communication with others seems promising. Understanding this issue will allow psychotherapist to make individual and group work with the patients more effective.</p>
Понимание этого позволит врачу-психотерапевту сделать индивидуальную и групповую работу с пациентами более эффективной.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>spinal cord injury</kwd><kwd>psychological well-being</kwd><kwd>social (interpersonal) support and its types</kwd><kwd>rehabilitation</kwd><kwd>social support and emotional status</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>спинномозговая травма</kwd><kwd>психологическое благополучие</kwd><kwd>социальная (межличностная) поддержка и ее виды</kwd><kwd>реабилитация</kwd><kwd>социальная поддержка и эмоциональное состояние</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Cobb S.
