Development of options for improving the process of low-temperature rectification of natural and associated gases
Abstract
An alternative scheme for the low-temperature processing of hydrocarbon gas streams is proposed, which increases the recovery of valuable components and improves economic efficiency. The classical scheme of low-temperature condensation and rectification is analyzed, where the joint processing of streams with different C1 : C2+ ratios limits the recovery of target hydrocarbon components. Technical solutions for the separate processing of phase streams are presented, making it possible to reduce ethane losses with fuel gas and increase the yield of individual hydrocarbons for the petrochemical and oil refining industries.

Development of plant-based reagents for breaking oil sludge emulsions
Abstract
The paper presents the results of the development of plant-based reagents capable of breaking stable oil sludge emulsions. Vegetable oils and their processing by-products containing higher fatty acids, predominantly oleic acid, were used as feedstock. Esters were synthesized from rapeseed oil and waste cooking oil (WCO) via acid esterification and alkaline transesterification, followed by neutralization and product purification. The synthesized esters were found to exhibit high selectivity toward asphaltene-resin components and to ensure efficient separation of the hydrocarbon phase. The technological potential of using bio-oriented reagents in the utilization of oil-containing waste is demonstrated, as well as the possibility of recovering valuable hydrocarbon fractions.

Investigation of domestic and foreign adsorbents in gas drying
Abstract
The article presents the results of comparative studies of the dynamic adsorption activity of domestic and foreign industrial zeolite-type adsorbents, silica gels, and active aluminum oxides for drying gases in field preparation and processing of natural gas, production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and chemical processing of hydrocarbon and inorganic gases. Methane, nitrogen, helium, and ambient air were used as individual gases. It has been established that in gas drying, the studied adsorbents arrange in the following order in terms of dynamic activity (capacity): zeolites > silica gels > aluminum oxide. It has been revealed that modern Russian adsorbents have increased dynamic adsorption activity compared to foreign counterparts.

Total oxygen content determination in hydrocarbon media using the neutron activation method
Abstract
The paper describes a method based on neutron activation analysis that allows measuring the total oxygen content in a hydrocarbon medium. An experimental setup has been created and tested. The tests have shown that the setup allows a full measurement cycle to be completed in just 60 seconds. The range of measurable oxygen concentrations is from 0.01% to 100%. It is shown that the measured oxygen content does not depend on the chemical compound the oxygen is part of, nor on the aggregate state of the substance under study. The setup is compact and can be installed in a minibus as a mobile laboratory. The developed method can be used for solving practical problems related to monitoring oxygen or oxygen-containing substances in various hydrocarbon media.

The Russian lubricants market: current state and growth points for 2026
Abstract
In 2025, the Russian lubricants market entered a contraction phase: production of finished lubricants fell to 1.65 mln t (–7.2% year-on-year), while domestic consumption declined to 1.67 mln t (–5.9%). At the same time, exports grew by 6.6%, and imports stabilized at around 0.23 mln t. In the first quarter of 2026, however, the retail segment already showed signs of recovery: +2.1% in lubricant sales and +11.2% in technical fluids year-on-year. The paper examines five key factors that will shape the market in the coming years: the redistribution of market shares among producers, the diverging trajectories of the B2B and B2C segments, the premiumization of the product offering, the transformation of demand in the automotive sector, and a large-scale regulatory overhaul.

Production and modernization of IGP industrial oils
Abstract
The results of producing IGP industrial oils are presented. The production technology for IGP oils was modernized by introducing a multifunctional additive package RN-P-IGS manufactured by JSC SvNIINP, which improved oil quality and reduced feedstock costs by 30–40%. The feasibility of producing hydraulic oils of different performance levels (IGP, HLP (HM), HVLP (HV)) using the RN-P-IGS additive package is demonstrated.

A model for the transition of industrial enterprises to a closed water consumption cycle: a case study of an oil refinery
Abstract
The article addresses the problem of transitioning industrial enterprises to a closed water consumption cycle (CWCC) as a priority area for resource conservation and reduction of anthropogenic pressure on water bodies. The relevance of transitioning to integrated water resources management, including solutions aimed at achieving a closed water consumption cycle, is substantiated. Based on an analysis of existing approaches, the need to develop a universal tool for assessing the feasibility and parameters of implementing a CWCC is identified. A block-type model for establishing a closed water consumption cycle for oil refining enterprises is proposed, which takes into account both environmental and economic indicators. The model was tested using the Moscow Oil Refinery as a case study.
