Abstract
Activation of sympathoadrenal system under the conditions of the coronary insufficiency leads to the myocardial ischemia and occurrence of anginous pain. Pain sensations in the heart area in patients with ischemic heart-disease are a permanent source of anxiety and alarm. In connection with that use of psychophysiological self-regulation methods within comprehensive rehabilitation aimed at optimization of emotional state, abatement of painful sensations intensity, improvement of quality of life of the patients suffering from ischemic heart-disease takes on special significance.
The conducted treatment has shown that presence of anginous pain in patients with ischemic heart-disease and pronounced psychopathologic symptomatology are accompanied with low level of quality of life. Application of empatho-technique and comprehensive rehabilitation contributed to abatement of pain intensity, decrease of anxiety and alarm level, and improvement of social, role-physical and emotional functioning.
