Abstract
BACKGROUND: Colorectal cancer is the third most common malignant disease, both worldwide and in the Russian Federation. There are few publications in the world and domestic literature covering the issues of using laparoscopic technologies and the consequences of colorectal cancer treatment in the context of medical and social expertise.
AIMS: to analyze the results of medical and social examination of citizens, due to colorectal cancer, after laparoscopically assisted operations, taking into account the stage of the disease, the severity of the course, the presence of complications as a consequence of the disease and (or) surgical treatment, the degree of severity of dysfunction of organs and systems, leading to social restrictions and the need to provide social protection measures, including rehabilitation.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Data from the official form of statistical monitoring of the activities of federal institutions of medical and social expertise No. 7-sobes for 2020-2024 in the Samara region. The study included 192 patients who underwent laparoscopic-assisted interventions for rectal cancer in medical institutions in the city of Samara. The following methods were used: data extraction, statistical.
RESULTS: The first disability group was assigned to 40 (20.8%) patients, the second to 100 (52.1%), the third to 48 (25%), and 4 (2.1%) patients were not recognized as disabled. Permanent disability was assigned to 47 (24.5%) patients, including 13 (27.6%) patients with the first group, 17 (36.2%) with the second, and 17 (36.2%) with the third.
CONCLUSIONS: After laparoscopically assisted operations for rectal cancer, virtually all patients require the establishment of a disability group and the development of an individual rehabilitation and habilitation program for the disabled person.
