PHYSICAL INACTIVITY AS A RISK FACTOR FOR LOSS OF INDIVIDUAL VITALITY IN WOMEN

Abstract

ВACKGROUND: Physical inactivity, which is widespread in the modern world due to the development of technology, poses a threat to female vitality. It causes physiological changes such as muscle weakness, heart failure, metabolic disorders and hormonal imbalances, leading to chronic diseases. Physical inactivity negatively affects the psycho-emotional state, causing depression, anxiety, cognitive decline and social exclusion, which worsens the quality of life of women.

АIMS: evaluation of the examination data of 60-year-old patients, taking into account the domain approach in the presence of physical inactivity.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was conducted in the departments of medical prevention from January 2017 to December 2024, the clinical base of the Burdenko VSMU. The parameters of somatic status, locomotor, sensory, cognitive, psychological and nutritional spheres were analyzed. The following methods were used: Cardiovisor, echocardiography, HRV analysis, determination of NLR, PLR, glycated hemoglobin, CRP, omega-3, FRAIL, Katz, MNA scales, dynamometry, bioimpedance, ophthalmological examination, MMSE, Beck and SHAS scales. The data was processed using Startech 4.8.0.

RESULTS. The analysis of the examination results of one hundred patients aged 60 years with low physical activity implies the exclusion of the most likely etiological factors (such as heart failure, coronary heart disease and hypertension) and a comprehensive assessment in various areas (cardiovascular, renal, endocrine spheres, as well as existing concomitant pathologies).

CONCLUSION. Sedentary lifestyle harms the physical and emotional well-being of women, as well as their social activity. Educational programs, an accessible environment for physical exercise, and the encouragement of healthy habits are needed to address this problem. Investments in overcoming physical inactivity are important for improving the lives of women and their participation in the development of society.
